Mindfulness... and walls, floor, ceiling

I love the mortifyingly industrial green cinder-block walls and faux-parquet linoleum, don't you?

This is a great time to observe how a wonderful state of relaxed, yet focused mindfulness can result from the early stages of construction.  It's one of my favorite stages.  Dreaming up the basics is a great time to imagine oneself in the emerging environment, examining the open areas, enjoying the echoes from empty walls and bare floors, envisioning the eventual construction and placement of décor...

These early stages lack the complexity and detail of later points in miniature-making.  It's a very good stage to experience the miniature while letting other elements of thought sneak in a bit.  Lean against the bare walls as you do a quick review of your day: count a few blessings.
