Mindfulness Moment in Action Figures Theater

Ever notice how the happiest places in the mind usually have certain basic elements?  I didn't think much abut it when I was making Gailtown OR the 'action figures', but there they are...

Just taking a casual light-hearted "tour" of the figures' attributes/roles/functions...

Father D. - spiritual quest
Kirby - love interest
Me - well... identity?
Kirsten - extended family, sorority/sisterhood
Edward Lear - Art, Creativity, Beauty
Marileen - Friendship

I doubt I'll have to think very hard to understand why future figures pop up...

Action Figures - 6- Kirsten, annnd... another installment of Action Figures Theater!

Fr. D.'s Chapel - 29 - Redux Request (Toddrick)

My young Catholic friend (and occasional blog contributor) Toddrick, aka "T", requested a reprint of an earlier post about mindfulness and places like Fr. D.'s Chapel.
T informs me that Conflict Resolution Class at Samuel M. Inman Middle School (Atlanta, GA) is an excellent location for such mindfulness practice, utilizing a variety of settings such as Fr. D.'s Chapel or Piedmont Park.

From October...

**********************************************************************************************
Let's have a mindful moment here!

So I was thinking about the idea that I'll have to invent a background story as to why a 128-year-old outpost chapel in Texas would be named after our Father D. from St. Paul's in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  Wait a minute.  Let's just say that some things aren't anchored in place or time,… things like love, goodness, and human spiritual outreach.  They're in my mind, and therefore, they're everywhere and anywhere, any time, timeless.
Yeah, that's it!

That makes a great affirmation for asserting the fact that the most important time, place, or situation is in your mind!!!

Next time you're in a nice, peaceful state of meditation, or just relaxation...

Or maybe better yet, a state of anxious agitation...

Picture yourself in Father D.'s mystical little chapel and say with me...

Love, goodness, and the human spirit are not limited in place or time.

Fr. D.'s Chapel - 28 - Basic Assembly Complete!

The basics are glued in place... walls, windows, floor, porch, roof/ceiling, furniture, furnishings...

Now it's time to brainstorm all the little things that add personality and fun.

Outside --- a tumbleweed in the belfry?  a package on the porch?  a garbage can out back?
Inside --- Fr. D.'s chasuble draped over the chair?  a forgotten item on a bench?  a little church-  mouse sleeping behind the votives?
                                         Suggestions, anybody?
