Well, I landed in the hospital with pneumonia!  And I'll be here a while.  But that doesn't keep your intrepid Mayor down... or more specifically, off the 'net.

Fr. D.'s Chapel - 20 - The Mission Bell

Every outpost chapel needs a mission bell.
I really wanted one that would ring, but it just wasn't to be.  The bell needed to be so tiny!  I tried making one out of Sculpy Clay, but there was no way I could make it ring.  I found a tiny bell off of a Christmas ornament that was really pretty.  Still no ring, though.  It was very bright and brassy, and needed some toning down with some coppery and brown acrylics, and finally, a little turquoise "oxidization".  I strung it on some brown 'rope' (thread) and placed it in the cradle, extending the toll rope down on the inside.
